The difference between premeter and area

The difference between the area and perimeter is that area has cm2, but perimeter doesn't have cm2 because for perimeter you have to plus base and length and then multlply by 2, but for area you have just have to height x base, but if you want to find triangle's area you have to do base x height then divide by 2. And next time before I do perimeter or area question I am going to look at the question and read it if it's perimeter or area then I will do it.
